Michigan Gas Utilities Presents Safety Grants to Emergency Responders Grants are awarded through Wisconsin Public Service Foundation Monroe, MI - Michigan Gas Utilities, along with its charitable giving entity, Wisconsin Public Service Foundation, has awarded $10,000 to Michigan Gas Utilities service area first responders as part of the Foundation's "Safety It's Worth the Energy" grant opportunity. Those selected to receive up to a $2,000 grant may use it as part of a well-planned integrated public safety initiative to purchase equipment and provide professional development. Wisconsin Public Service Foundation is a private, charitable foundation funded by company shareholders and has no impact on electric and natural gas rates charged to Michigan Gas Utilities customers. 2015 recipient organizations are:

  • Colon Community Fire and Rescue
  • Coldwater Fire Department
  • Quincy Fire Department
  • Crockery Township Fire Department
