Large water flows at times downstream could quickly create dangerous conditions below the dams. "We urge caution above or below dams at all times," said Bradley Menning, WPS supervisor - regional generation. "However, in the interest of safety, during testing people need to be diligent in avoiding the areas downstream from the dams." The testing will be intermittent with no set schedule and will be preceded by sirens sounding at the facilities. WPS is performing the testing the water flow to ensure compliance with its Federal Energy Regulatory Commission licenses.
