Intel is accelerating the path to 5G by working with key players in the industry to develop a unified 5G standard and introduce new solutions and products to connect the world.
Nokia* has introduced 5G FIRST*, a solution that will allow operators to rapidly address the huge demands of connected people and industries. Nokia 5G FIRST* will use the global Intel® 5G Modem in its initial deployments. In addition to using Intel® architecture and the Intel 5G modem, Nokia 5G FIRST* comprises Nokia's radio access network (RAN) including Nokia AirScale* massive MIMO Adaptive Antennas, packet core and mobile transport solutions and. Nokia 5G FIRST* is set for initial deployments starting in 2017, providing operators a first-to-market advantage based on early specifications.
