Boris KOVALCHUK, Chairman of the Board of PJSC Inter RAO and Andrey BELYANINOV, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) signed an agreement on collaboration during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The two organizations agreed to implement projects that are of strategic importance for the economies of the EDB member states. The parties intend to develop their collaboration in the countries of the Central Asia, primarily in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. In addition, they plan to collaborate within the future procedure of competitive selection of projects of reconstruction of thermal power plants in the CIS countries. The agreement provides opportunities for joint efforts on other energy facilities as well.

The two businesses intend to collaborate in the field of mutual supplies of power engineering products, including export of equipment manufactured by the Inter RAO Group to the member states of the Eurasian Development Bank.

'The collaboration with the Eurasian Development Bank will allow Inter RAO Group member companies to expand in the regions, where the bank performs its operations', said Boris KOVALCHUK, Chairman of the Management Board of PJSC Inter RAO. 'This is of particular importance for the construction of new power facilities, as the collaboration with the EDB ensures the investment attractiveness of such projects.'

'Today, Inter RAO's assets are present in several member countries of our bank. Development of the regional industry and the need for modernization of electric power facilities involves a number of projects that we can carry out in a mutually beneficial cooperation, said Andrei BELYANINOV, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Development Bank.
