International Flavors & Fragrances is one of the world leaders in designing, producing and marketing fragrances and flavors. Net sales break down by product family as follows:
- fragrances (51.1%): intended primarily for producing cosmetics (deodorants, hair care products, etc.) and cleaning products (detergents, soaps, fabric softeners, etc.);
- flavors (48.9%): intended essentially for the food-processing (dairy products, beverages, prepared meals, candy, etc.) and pharmaceutical industries (dental care, etc.).
At the end of 2012, the group had 29 production sites worldwide.
Net sales break down geographically as follows: North America (24.6%), Europe-Africa-Middle East (32.3%), Asia (27.4%) and Latin America (15.7%).
