Google's vice president of display advertising, Neal Mohan, was recently named to the Mobile Marketing Association's Global Board of Directors, given his vast knowledge of the field.

Google's vice president of display advertising, Neal Mohan, was recently named to the Mobile Marketing Association's Global Board of Directors, given his vast knowledge of the field.

In his current position, Mohan is in charge of the technology giant's AdMob advertising program, as well as its DoubleClick revenue stream.  For his work with Google, Mohan was named one of Ad Age's 10 Most Influential Players in Marketing in 2011 and is considered the visionary behind Google's display program.

Mohan said he was delighted to be named to the distinguished organization and hoped to help with its efforts. 

"The MMA Board of Directors plays a pivotal role in setting the agenda for the mobile marketing industry, as well as helping shape the future of the MMA," he said. "I am thrilled to welcome Neal, a key industry leader and innovator, as the latest member of the Global Board," said the MMA's CEO Greg Stuart. "I look forward to working with him and the full board to fulfill our mission of making mobile an indispensable part of the marketing mix."

According to its website, the MMA has more than 700 member companies and seeks to educate those in the global marketing sector.
