New catering brands to open at Cribbs Causeway

intu and M&G Real Estate have secured three leading food and beverage brands for The Mall at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol. Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK), Tortilla and Nespresso will join the shopping centre's established line-up of national and international retailers later this year, while Whistles also joins the new brand line-up. Additionally, existing tenants JD, Cath Kidston, Tesla, Build-A-Bear Workshop and Lush have renewed their commitment with new stores and leases.

Among the new brands is GBK, which will take a 3,135 sq ft unit on a 15-year lease. Founded in London in 2001, the brand has grown to become the UK's most popular burger restaurant.

Tortilla, national burritos and tacos chain, and the world-famous coffee brand Nespresso will also be two new names to the shopping centre. Tortilla will take a 1,620 sq ft store on a 10-year lease while Nespresso has signed to occupy a 3,940 sq ft store. In the meantime, Nespresso has opened a pop-up unit until its new permanent store opens. With currently only four stores outside London, the store at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway is Nespresso's first to open in the south west of England.

Another addition, which further extends the fashion choice at the centre, is designer clothes brand, Whistles. The woman's clothing shop has opened a 900 sq ft store to sit aside a world-class line-up of fashion names.

In addition to the new entrants to the shopping centre, the UK's leading sports fashion retailer, JD has decided to upsize from a 3,635 sq ft to a 6,600 sq ft store at the heart of the centre and Cath Kidston and Tesla, formerly on temporary leases, have relocated to permanent 1,667 sq ft and 2,455 sq ft units respectively. Moreover, children's store and workshop, Build-A-Bear Workshop, is set for a refit, having also signed a 10-year lease and cosmetics brand, Lush, is upsizing into a 2,570 sq ft store on a 10-year lease.

We're excited to bring our premium burgers trend to the Mall at Cribbs Causeway. We'll be joining a great line-up of restaurants and shops and we can't wait to be part of the buzz in the centre, especially over the Christmas holiday. GBK Causeway will be one of our 12 restaurant openings in 2016, and we're looking forward to another successful year of growth going into 2017.'

'The Mall at Cribbs Causeway continues to see strong demand from some of the fastest growing and most popular brands in the UK. With 12 million annual visitors drawn from across Bristol, Bath, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and south Wales, The Mall is a prime location for any brand looking to succeed in the south west. And, while The Mall continues to attract a host of favourite brands, JD, Tesla, Build-A-Bear, Lush and Cath Kidston's re-commitments are further evidence of the ongoing success experienced by existing tenants at The Mall.'
