Christine Bleakley turned PE teacher on Monday to put children from a London school through their training paces. Fifty lucky children are gearing up to race on The Mall this Sunday alongside some of the world's top athletes in a free to watch event to coincide with the Sainsbury's Anniversary Games in Horse Guards Parade.

Pupils from All Saints Primary School, Wimbledon will be among 50 lucky children from Active Kids schools and clubs across the country who will join leading athletes, including gold medalist Mo Farah and six-time Paralympic champion David Weir on the iconic stretch. The event will see Weir return to the scene of his greatest triumph at London 2012, while the children will complete a unique 'fun run' along The Mall, racing space hoppers and balancing egg on spoons.

TV presenter Christine Bleakley today helped children practice some of the sports day style activities they will complete during the race, including sprints, agility ladders and throwing skills. The children taking part in the race have been chosen as a reward for being from one of the top collecting organisations in Sainsbury's Active Kids vouchers for equipment scheme.   The scheme now benefits over 50,000 organisations across the UK and has given over £136 million worth of equipment and experiences.  This once in a lifetime experience also gives the children and their families tickets to watch their Olympic and Paralympic heroes compete in the Sainsbury's Anniversary Games in Horse Guards Parade.

Christine Bleakley, TV personality said: "It's set to be a great buzz on The Mall as there's lots going on that's open to the public on Sunday to coincide with the Sainsbury's Anniversary Games.  It's not often you get the opportunity to see athletes like Mo Farah race against  a backdrop like this and to be able to see it for free is amazing.  It'll be a great day out for the whole family and I hope everyone comes down to cheer on the athletes and the children."

Tara Hewitt, Sainsbury's Head of Sponsorship adds: "We've worked hard to put on a handful of races for free on Sunday.  While I'm looking forward to seeing the Weirwolf and Mobot on The Mall, I can't wait to see the kids complete their one of a kind race."
