Jardine Lloyd Thompson : Mark Shumway joins JLT Re as Global Head of Strategic Advisory

JLT Re, the global provider of reinsurance broking and consultancy, has appointed Mark Shumway as Global Head of Strategic Advisory. Mark will join JLT Re as soon as he has completed his contractual obligations with Guy Carpenter and will be based in the Philadelphia office reporting to David Flandro, JLT Re's Global Head of Analytics.

Mark brings nearly 20 years of analytics, advisory and management experience in the (re)insurance industry, joining from Guy Carpenter where he was a Managing Director and Head of Strategic Advisory for the Asia-Pacific region. Mark developed the advisory offering for Asia and was responsible for many other specialised client services. Prior to joining Guy Carpenter in 2003, Mark was an analyst at A.M. Best and also worked as a consultant at KPMG.
