Leading Chilean food producing company embarks on a supply chain transformation project to deliver unmatched customer service while supporting business growth.
Scottsdale, Ariz. - August 6, 2014 - JDA Software Group, Inc., today announced that Watt's S.A., a leading food and beverage manufacturer headquartered in Chile, has selected JDA Manufacturing Planning(MPL) solutions to help integrate, centralize and optimize its forecasting, production, distribution and inventory levels. JDA's MPL solutions were selected after an extensive competitive selection process.
Watt's S.A. is a Chilean company, well known for the quality, flavor and diversity of its products sold in both local and international markets. Watt's products are consumed mainly in the domestic markets, but also exports part of its production, including specialty wines, to more than 30 countries. Furthermore, Watt's entered into the Asian Market in 2008 with the inauguration of a commercial office in Shanghai and the export of products through local distributors in China.
The JDA Manufacturing Planning solutions will help Watt's improve its forecast accuracy and service levels to its customers and help Watt's planning team optimize production plans based on available raw materials, packaging, cost and other variables.
Watt's will leverage JDA® Sales and Operation Planning to help it make timelier and intelligent decisions to efficiently balance the forecast and production, and use the JDA® Inventory Optimization solution to help determine the optimal inventory levels during the different periods of year for finished products, raw material and vendor inventory. JDA® Space Planning will enable Watt's to streamline the execution of top-level category plans with proven planogramming capabilities to increase customer satisfaction with demand-driven planning.
