JetBlue (NASDAQ:JBLU) today announced the start date for service between Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) and three more of the airline’s focus cities. Beginning March 8, 2018, JetBlue will double the number of daily flights in Georgia’s capital city when it adds roundtrip service between Atlanta and:

  • New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) – twice daily
  • Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) – twice daily
  • Orlando International Airport (MCO) – once daily

Seats on all new routes are on sale starting today with introductory fares starting at $64 one-way (a).

All Atlanta flights will be operated on JetBlue’s Airbus A320 aircraft featuring the airline’s award-winning service with comfortable seating; complimentary and unlimited name-brand snacks; more than 100 channels of free SIRIUSXM® radio programming and 36 channels of free, live DIRECTV® programming on personal seatback televisions; free Fly-Fi high-speed wireless Internet (b), and the most legroom in coach. “We are excited to bring our award-winning service and low fares to even more markets from Atlanta,” said Marty St. George, executive vice president commercial and planning, JetBlue. “Customers flying between Boston and Atlanta have shown a strong appetite for a competitive option like JetBlue, and we anticipate we’ll see the same for the New York, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando routes.”

JetBlue first announced its intent to serve these cities last year. The new flights will build on existing nonstop service to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), which launched in March 2017 and operates five times per day.

In the three JetBlue focus cities, the airline’s loyal customer base will benefit from new service to the largest U.S. market previously not served with nonstop JetBlue flights. In Atlanta, the flights will offer fresh nonstop choices for fliers traveling to key markets in the northeast and Florida.

In New York, customers will enjoy traveling through JetBlue’s award-winning home at JFK’s Terminal 5 where the airline offers flights to more than 70 nonstop destinations. JetBlue has also built a rich portfolio of interline and codeshare agreements with dozens of other airlines at JFK that help connect customers to cities around the world. Travelers can connect to destinations around the world on carriers such as Emirates, El Al, Aer Lingus, Etihad and Qatar.

JetBlue’s two Florida focus cities are home to a wide range of top attractions and exciting events. The airline operates a combined total of more than 170 daily flights in Fort Lauderdale and Orlando. In addition to being top destinations, the cities also serve as gateways to the airline’s vast Caribbean and Latin American route map. JetBlue serves more than two dozen destinations throughout the region and serves multiple cities Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Colombia. Additionally, JetBlue has interline and codeshare agreements with a combined total of ten other airlines in Fort Lauderdale and Orlando which offer a variety of connection options to global and regional destinations.
