The unbeaten MAS Silueta, along with Power Tech Cement, John Keells 'B' and Commercial Credit 'B' advanced to the semifinals of the ongoing 1st Fair and Lovely Men - MCA 'B' division 50-over league tournament 2018.

The last batch of matches in the league stage of the tournament was played on Wednesday, 4 October, bringing the league competition to a close after 21 matches.

MAS Silueta maintained their unbeaten status, as they beat Power tech Cement by 25 runs on the DLS method.

Centurion Denuwan Rajakaruna, who continued his good form with a fine 81 runs off 82 balls with 4 sixes and 4 fours, was undoubtedly the match-winner for MAS Silueta. Rajakaruna earlier on hit a belligerent 117 not out against John Keells.

The gutsy innings of Menelka de Silva of 88 runs in 55 balls inclusive of 6 sixes and 5 fours for Power Tech Cement thus went in vain.

Commercial Credit 'B' managed a berth in the semifinals, as they romped home to a cakewalk 8 wicket-win over Unilever.

The match-winners for Commercial Credit were Aruna Dias (5 for 26) and Ranga Cooray (75 not out).

John Keells too found a spot in the semifinals, crushing Singer Sri Lanka by nine wickets. John Keells 'B' right-arm off-spinner Tharinda Ratnayake posted the best individual bowling figures in the tournament to date (7.5 -1 -23 -6) to skittle out Singer for a paltry 125 runs in 33.5 overs.
