Johnson Outdoors Inc. (Nasdaq: JOUT), a leading global outdoor recreational products company, has named John Moon Vice-President and Chief Information Officer, responsible for leading the Company's information technology function, and defining and implementing the company's strategic use of information technology worldwide.

Mr. Moon joins Johnson Outdoors following a successful 21-year career with Baxter International where he held a variety of information technology positions of increasing responsibility before being named Corporate Vice President and CIO in 2000. Mr. Moon was named CIO of the Year in 2003 by the Association of Information Technology Professionals. Prior to joining Baxter, Mr. Moon held positions in the telecommunications and medical software industries.

Mr. Moon earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, and holds a Master's Degree in Management Information Systems from Northern Illinois University.

He serves as Chairman, Society of Information Management ? Chicago Chapter.
