JLL's Leisure team was crowned team of the year at the Property Week awards.

The award recognised the stellar year that JLL's leisure team has had, continuing to forge ahead in the food & beverage, hotels and wider leisure market in the agency and investment side. Key deals included the sale of Gleneagles Hotel and La Salle Investment Management's garden centre fund to Blackrock.

The team have the only fully integrated leisure team in the UK with specialists in Manchester, Leeds, London, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Exeter and have recently launched a new food consulting offering. They have also recognised the growing requirement for specialist technology strategy advice and services and acquired Avenue9, a rapidly-growing recent start-up business providing bespoke IT consulting services across the hotel and hospitality sectors. A new Capital Works team was also established to draw together the expertise across the firm in project management, cost management and fit-out of hospitality and leisure assets.

Will Duffey, Executive Vice President, Hotels & Hospitality at JLL commented: 'The team have grown from strength to strength this year evidenced by our involvement in market leading deals such as Gleneagles and the sale of the 'Castle Quarter' in Oxford. Overall, the team advised on £1.5 billion of hotel sales in 2015. To guide our clients in an ever evolving sector, this year we are looking to grow a dedicated serviced apartment team and develop our technology offering.'
