Gazprom Neft's environmental management system meets requirements of international standard ISO 14001:2004 22 July 2013

Having successfully passed a certification audit, Gazprom Neft's environmental management system has been found to meet the requirements of the advanced international standard ISO 14001:2004.

What the ISO 14001:2004 is designed to do is to streamline management and production processes in such a way so as to minimize the company's environmental impact. The main goal of the system is to transition from the practices of remedying damage incurred to the objective assessment of potential environmental risks and the use of preventive measures against negative impact and ensuring that any activities are environmentally safe.

The Russian Register certification association* evaluated and analyzed the functioning of Gazprom Neft's environmental management system in a certification audit for compliance with the requirements of the ISO 14001:2004 standard conducted between April and June 2013. The audit, among other things, evaluated how the company managers and employees adhere to the principles of regular and systemic management, as well as the effectiveness of the company's environmental management system and its capacity to reach its targets.
