Insight School of Indiana (ISIN), a tuition-free online public charter school, welcomes families with students in grades 7-12 who reside in Indiana to enroll for the 2017-18 academic year. ISIN offers an individualized approach to learning and an education option for students of every ability level, including a competency in helping students who are struggling academically.

Each ISIN student receives an individualized learning plan (ILP) that takes each child’s unique strengths, weaknesses, learning styles and aptitudes into consideration. Each student’s ILP plans out a long-term, personalized learning strategy through a collaborative team effort between the student, parent, teachers, guidance counselor and advisor. Then, ISIN teachers provide instruction, guidance and support, interacting with students and parents via email, telephone and web-based classrooms.

A credit recovery program is available for students who need to catch up in certain subjects, as well as highly targeted remediation sessions to build specific skills. With a unique and highly supportive approach, ISIN works with students and their families to help students overcome obstacles, including learning or behavioral issues, bullying, challenges or changes in lifestyle.

“At ISIN we believe in unlocking every student’s potential. We offer a high level of personalized support for middle and high school students both academically and emotionally,” said Dr. Byron Ernest, head of school at Insight School of Indiana. “We welcome students who have underachieved in their education for any reason. Our approach addresses the real-life needs of each one of our students with the goal of seeing them succeed and thrive.”

ISIN pairs modern teaching techniques with interactive learning to make students feel engaged, empowered and challenged. By incorporating audio, video, live chat, printed materials and group interactions into the curriculum, students learn in the way that works best for them. Through the use of interactive virtual classrooms teachers can provide one-to-one student–teacher meetings and live instructional sessions. Additionally, remedial course block scheduling helps students focus on fewer courses at a time and allows them to recover credits for previously failed courses if necessary.

ISIN is now accepting enrollments for the 2017-18 school year. Parents are encouraged to attend one of the online or in person information sessions hosted by the school each month. More information on ISIN and upcoming events can be found at http://in.insightschools.net/.
