KAR Auction Services : ADESA Names New Executive Sales Director

ADESA, a business unit of global vehicle remarketing and technology solutions provider KAR Auction Services, Inc. (NYSE: KAR), announces Rod Thompson has been named executive sales director.
'Rod is a true professional with high integrity and a strong work ethic who will fit in nicely with the national sales team,' said John Combs, ADESA vice president of sales. 'Having worked at a dealership, an auction and in the powersports industry in sales, he brings a depth of knowledge and many very strong relationships with key commercial clients throughout the industry.'
In his new role, Thompson will be responsible for managing ADESA commercial client relationships and leading commercial client efforts for both physical auction and upstream remarketing services, as well as other related products and services available across the KAR group of companies.
Thompson brings more than 30 years of automotive, powersports and auction industry experience to his new role at ADESA. He joined ADESA Tulsa in 2015 as dealer sales and services manager. Thompson has grown as a leader, serving most recently as general manager at ADESA Tulsa. He spent more than 20 years in the powersports industry working for a major powersports manufacturer. He also worked as sales manager for his family's Chrysler store.
ADESA is a leading provider of vehicle auction and remarketing services with 75 vehicle auctions throughout North America.
