In the first quarter 2014 KTM sold 32,994 vehicles worldwide, thereof 2,748 units of the 200 Duke and the 390 Duke were sold in India by our partner Bajaj.
This results in an increase in sales of 26.8% to previous year. In the first quarter, KTM therefore achieved a revenue of 196.9 mio. EUR compared to 163.5 mio. EUR in previous year.

Increase in EBIT to 14.6 mio. EUR (+254.4% to previous year)
By this significant increase in sales and revenue, KTM could increase EBIT to 14.6 mio EUR compared to 4.1 mio. EUR in previous year. Therefore, KTM achieved an EBIT margin of 7.4% in the first quarter 2014.

Start of production in China
The production in China started on March 27th, 2014. The Chinese partner CF-Moto assembles the models Duke 200 and 390 in his plant in Hangzhou for the Chinese market. "KTM delivers the part sets and the engines." explains Harald Plöckinger, COO.

Outlook
By launching new models KTM consequently follows a global product strategy and expansion into Asian and South American markets.
KTM expects further increase in sales and revenue for the business year 2014.
