Kronach, Germany - The new Loewe Reference is a high-end Smart TV that impresses not only with perfect picture, but also with absolutely brilliant sound quality. Exquisite materials range from the aluminium frame that surrounds the screen like a work of art to the anti-reflective contrast filter and variety of high-quality fabrics available for the speaker covers.

Perfect sound

Loewe Smart Home Entertainment is a feast for all the senses. The new Loewe Reference features excellent sound despite its slim-line design. Using the bass reflex principle, the high-quality, forward-facing stereo concept delivers a total music output of up to 2x60 watts.

An intelligent speaker arrangement from the audio specialists at SOEN© creates rich, inspiring sound, which would otherwise only be possible with additional sound bars. In Loewe Cinema Surround Mode, the SOEN© sound bar generates impressive virtual 3D sound even without additional speakers.

The new Loewe Reference is also compatible with large, home theatre surround sound systems. An integrated 5.1 multi-channel AV decoder supports Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD and makes it possible to directly integrate a Loewe home cinema system from 2.1 to 5.1 via the digital audio link interface for ultra-realistic surround sound. Connected to the Loewe Reference ID speakers, the TV becomes the centre speaker, perfectly matched in design, quality and technology.

Elegant, removable cloth speaker covers ensure maximum acoustic permeability and crystal-clear sound. Any living environment can be quickly transformed into an impressive, perfectly integrated and easy-to-operate home cinema with brilliant sound.

Viewing experience

Breathtaking picture quality is built-in. The new Loewe Reference Ultra-HD display produces razor-sharp images from a variety of video sources: USB, home network or Internet. Future-focused interfaces (HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2 and HEVC) access ultra-high resolution content from the Loewe BluTechVision 3D Blu-ray player or other peripheral input devices. Even full HD videos look much better thanks to advanced Loewe scaling technology. Images appear perfectly natural with extremely sharp depth of detail and fresh, vibrant colours. All of the new Loewe Reference models are 3D-compatible and available with optional 3D glasses.

Intelligently networked

Watch one channel, monitor another in picture-in-picture mode and record a third TV programme with the integrated hard disk recorder - these capabilities are what make the new premium-quality Loewe televisions so unique. All this and more is now possible using a mobile device. Easy and intuitive, Loewe Mobile Recording enables users to program the television via the Loewe Smart Assist app for Android and iOS - in case they can't make it home in time to record the movie. Programming the integrated hard disk recorder is easier than ever with the Loewe electronic programme guide - which is integrated into the television and Loewe app. One terabyte of storage capacity means a practically unlimited number of programmes can be recorded and archived in high definition. The hard disk recorder doubles as a video server that can be accessed by other Loewe devices in the home network (DR+ Streaming). Users can even pause the current programme and continue watching it from a device in another room (DR+ Follow-Me). Favourite TV programmes follow viewers wherever they go.

Loewe Smart tv2move

Loewe Smart tv2move streams the current television programme - or an alternate channel - to a tablet computer or smartphone at the touch of a button. Viewers can take the programme along with them when they leave the room - without missing a minute of the action. Digital Media Renderer (Send to TV) works the other way around and enables viewers to stream their favourite videos, photos or music tracks from a tablet or smartphone to the TV screen - for endless enjoyment with modern media.

Intuitive operation

With all functional features integrated into the television set, the entire system can be operated with a single remote control. The new Loewe Assist Media 2015 operating system is clearer and easier to use than ever before. It works with logical graphic elements and even displays a usage history (last watched, etc.). A genuine Smart TV, the new Loewe Reference offers a virtually unlimited array of content and applications. The triple-tuner, dual-channel system and integrated network interface with high-performance WLAN module provide the technological backbone. Assist Media 2015 makes it easy to find the most interesting content online, from television network media libraries or from a home network. Everything is based on individual preferences. MediaNet, the Loewe Smart TV portal, is directly linked to content from online video libraries and music streaming services.

Design

Loewe Reference is a high-end home entertainment system designed to fit perfectly into modern living environments - for many years of pure pleasure. The high-quality aluminium frame and anti-reflective contrast filter combined with perfectly finished surfaces and panel gaps make it clear from every angle: this is truly a premium product. Loewe supplies a variety of spectacular set-up options ranging from an elegant, revolving (motorised) floor stand, to an exquisite table stand and rack systems designed to intelligently accommodate a subwoofer or Blu-ray player.

Quality Made in Germany

Founded more than 90 years ago, Loewe consistently amazes with pioneering innovations that are widely recognised as technological milestones. Loewe introduced the integrated circuit in 1926, the world's first electronic TV broadcast in 1931, the first cassette recorder in 1950 and Europe's first stereo television in 1981. The Smart TV trend was launched in 2008 with the Loewe Connect television. The world's first integrated 3D sound system followed in 2013. From the initial design drawings, to the production-ready technological concept, all Loewe products are engineered in Germany. The benefits are plain to see: short distances ensure premium products based on quality "Made in Germany" - a standard that clearly applies to the new Loewe Reference.

Every product has its own life cycle. Loewe products are designed to last for a long time and minimise energy consumption. Modular technology, top-quality materials, precision workmanship and timeless design add up to the confident feeling of owning a sustainable product that will remain a source of pleasure for many years to come. This is the key to compelling smart home entertainment.

The new Loewe Reference will be available in Alu Black, Alu Silver and High-Gloss White. Screen sizes: 55 and 65 inch.
