LOTTOMATICA GROUP SUBSIDIARY GTECH CORPORATION SIGNS THREE-YEAR ONLINE CONTRACT EXTENSION

WITH THE MISSOURI LOTTERY

ROME, ITALY and PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND (USA) - August 16, 2011 - Lottomatica Group S.p.A announced that its subsidiary GTECH Corporation has signed a three-year contract extension with the Missouri Lottery to continue providing lottery technology as well as additional self-service lottery products, multimedia displays, and player subscription services. The three- year extension, which will commence on July 1, 2012, is expected to generate revenues to GTECH of approximately $45 million. GTECH has been the online equipment and services provider to the Missouri Lottery since

1991.

Patel. “Over the next three years, we will assist the Missouri Lottery in enhancing their self-service offering, expanding their retailer base, and implementing an innovative subscription player service program.”

Missouri Lottery Executive Director May Scheve Reardon said, “The Missouri Lottery looks forward to the continued growth and progress we have made over the last two decades with GTECH. This contract extension, and the addition of new lottery self-service machines for our retailers, provides

additional opportunities for us to continue to grow and maximize revenues for education programs in Missouri."

Under the terms of the contract extension, GTECH will provide the Missouri Lottery with 450 Gemini® Ultra machines. Gemini Ultra is GTECH’s all-in-one online/instant ticket lottery dispensing machine with the added feature of an integrated Enterprise Series (ES) MultiMedia display.

The extension also calls for ES MultiMedia player messaging and transaction display technology at additional Lottery points-of-sale to increase brand/jackpot/winner awareness and advertise new games and promotions. Moreover, the contract extension will allow for an innovative, contemporary player subscription package through GTECH’s new Renaissance Program.

GTECH will continue to provide the Missouri Lottery with online lottery technology and a full range of support services including central computer system and terminal maintenance; communications management; field service; and marketing support.
