LOTTOMATICA GROUP SUBSIDIARY GTECH CORPORATION SIGNS TWO-YEAR ONLINE LOTTERY CONTRACT EXTENSION

WITH MILLI PIYANGO IN TURKEY

ROME, ITALY and PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND (USA) – September 22,

2011 - Lottomatica Group S.p.A announced that its subsidiary GTECH Corporation has signed a two-year contract extension with the Milli Piyango Idaresi Genel Mudurlugu, the National Lottery in Turkey, to provide a wide array of new lottery technology, products, and ongoing services. The two- year extension, which will commence on the start-up date of the upgrade of Milli Piyango’s central system, is expected to generate total revenues for GTECH of approximately $30 million. GTECH has been the online equipment and services provider to Milli Piyango since 1996.

Patel. “With the added benefits and features of new lottery technology, Milli Piyango will not only improve their current business processes, but it will also enable them to expand their product and service offerings, and provide for a future growth path of their retailer network.”

Under the extension, GTECH will upgrade Milli Piyango’s lottery equipment with the Company’s Enterprise Series (ES) Evolution central system hardware, which is specifically tailored to offer a best practices technology approach to support Milli Piyango with the flexible tools needed to increase their sales and revenue. ES Evolution will also provide a means of upgrading Milli Piyango’s current hardware and software, while maintaining the existing application software and data, preserving their business plan. Additionally, GTECH will install 5,000 Altura® GT1200 terminals, which will replace and grow the lottery’s current terminal base. The existing communications

infrastructure will be upgraded utilizing IP-based mobile and DSL communications technologies. GTECH’s ES Connect™ solution will also be offered to Milli Piyango, bringing transactional connectivity to legacy hosts via multiple IP channels.

GTECH will continue providing ongoing services to Milli Piyango including central system and terminal maintenance; communications system and hotline management; field services; and support to further enhance Milli Piyango’s overall product and game portfolio.

Established in 1939, Milli Piyango is the exclusive license holder to operate all lottery games in Turkey, which include online, instant, and passive games.
