LUZ SAÚDE Hospital da Luz Doctor Performs Live Surgery at International Congress
07-07-17Filipa Osório, gynaecologist at Hospital da Luz Lisboa, performed livestreamed surgery for the congress of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology.
The 33rd annual meeting of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, which took place in Geneva, between 2 and 5 July, included a plenary session of livestreaming surgery, in which participated Filipa Osório, gynaecologist at Hospital da Luz Lisboa.
Filipa Osório performed a laparoscopic myomectomy with uterine artery ligation, to a 32-year-old patient with infertility and pelvic weight. The panel of surgeons included Michael Mueller, Annis Feki and Erberhard, from Switzerland, and Rudi Campo and Stephan Gordts, from Belgium.
The surgeries were livestreamed from Bern University Hospital to the Geneva Congress Centre, where about 10 thousand doctors from all over the world were gathered.
