The Fondation Louis Vuitton is hosting the second edition of the recto/verso exhibition and charity auction from June 15- 24. Contemporary art works will be exhibited and then sold in a blind auction, with all proceeds donated to the Secours Populaire Français charity. This major social solidarity initiative is made possible thanks to the patronage of the LVMH Group.

Over 100 contemporary artists, among them Takashi Murakami, Jeff Koons, Xavier Veilhan… from France and other countries are taking part in the second edition of recto/verso. They are all donating a work with an identical format - 40 x 50 cm - and signed only on the back. This concept places all the artists in an equal position during the exhibition ahead of the auction.

The works on display will be put up for action with a starting bit of €300. Their identity will not be revealed until the end of the auction, a novel concept that requires bidders to make a 'blind' selection. Art lovers can try to recognize the artists, or simply bid on works they like.
