MLS : Turnover +18%, EBITDA+25%, Net profit after tax +10% for 2016

New All Time High in Turnover for MLS in 2016: Sales increased by 18% amounting to 25,38 mil. Euros from 21,40 mil. Euros last year. EBITDA increased by 25% amounting to 6,27 mil. Euros in 2016 from 5,02 mil. Euros in 2015. Profit after taxes increased by 10% amounted to 2,22 mil.Euros in 2016 compared to 2,02 mil.Euros last year.

Earnings per share amounted to EUR 0.1845.

Cash and cash equivalents amounted to 9,26 mil. Euros reflecting the strong liquidity. The equity of the company has significantly increased to 23,88 mil. Euros from 22,58 mil. Euros last year.

The Board will propose to the General Meeting a capital return of EUR 0.06 per share.

Commenting on the financial results of 2016 the President and CEO of MLS Mr. John Kamatakis stated: '2016 was a landmark year in the history of MLS: The company achieved a new All Time High in Sales with a significant increase of its market shares in Smartphones and Tablets. At the same time MLS had the great joy and satisfaction to open the Corporate Bond Market in Greece and the Greek Stock Exchange making the start for other companies that successfully continued with larger issues.

In addition the company managed to develop two international innovations within one year (2016) and intends to benefit this year (2017) and the years to come. We believe that we have in our hands such technologies that cross the Greek borders and are aiming initially to other European markets serving the principle of Making Life Simple beyond Greek borders. Considering the size required, since the mobile phone market is huge, we explore ways and examine options for the next step.
