Encrypted Calls and Live Chats in the New ICQ for Mac

Meet the new ICQ with end-to-end call encryption, voice messages recognition, Live Chats and new design.

After the upgrade, users will get end-to-end encryption of audio and video calls by default with no additional setup. ZRTP is used for encryption, this open protocol ensures the most efficient protection and allows for secure key exchange. Calls are impossible to be decrypted, either on the ICQ servers, or on the provider level.

All Mac users now have access to Live Chat showcases, where they can join any existing chat room or create their own chat. In addition, it is now possible to delete your own messages for you or for all users at once. Live Chat moderators can delete any messages.

The new version provides voice messages recognition that supports 40 languages.

The Mac version was created using the QT cross-platform library, and new design is the same for all desktop versions.

The new version is available on the App Store for Mac and at icq.com.
