MUNICH, GERMANY--(Marketwired - Mar 19, 2014) - Meru Networks® (
"Mobile communications, social networks and web research are indispensable to a modern school," said Gernot Hainzl, school director at HAK/HAS Krems. "The Meru Networks' reliable WLAN and our BYOD program enable our students and teachers to collaborate more closely than ever."
The school administration in Krems and Horn wanted to provide students and teachers with high-availability wireless networks for online digital educational activities. The IT specialists at Bauer Software & Co KG outfitted classrooms, administration facilities, computer labs, library and public areas at the schools with access points and Meru Wi-Fi controllers to manage the sizeable WLAN data volume. Krems and Horn have each deployed 40 Meru access points along with a Meru mobility controller.
"Enabling mobility for teachers and students is absolutely critical to driving advanced learning initiatives," said Tabatha von Kölichen, regional sales manager for the DACH region at Meru Networks. "We are very pleased that these schools chose Meru to support their BYOD programs, and look forward to working with them and with others in the region as they continue to drive innovation in education."
