Today at the Department of Homeland Security, Science and Technology Directorate (DHS S&T) 2014 Cyber Security Division R&D Showcase in Washington, DC, National Director of U.S. Cyber Challenge, Karen S. Evans, will announce the program’s collaboration with Monster Government Solutions as the organizations develop CyberCompEx, a social network portal for students, professionals, employers, and other individuals involved or interested in the cybersecurity community.

“We are incredibly excited to work with Monster Government Solutions to develop CyberCompEx into an attractive and resourceful tool for all aspiring cybersecurity professionals and companies,” stated Karen Evans. “Our goal at U.S. Cyber Challenge is to find and develop future cybersecurity experts, and by offering an online network for them to interact with and learn from peers, as well as develop contacts with companies and future employers, we are continuing to expand our support of the community’s development. Having an established company like Monster Government Solutions collaborate with us will only help in bringing us to that next level of influence and support.”

Ms. Evans will be a featured presenter at the DHS S&T 2014 Cyber Security Division R&D Showcase. She will provide background information on the foundation and development of the program’s workforce development activities, as well as outline the anticipated future growth and development of the program, which includes the CyberCompEx social network. In preparation for a new roll-out of the website this coming spring 2015, representatives from Monster Government Solutions will be present at the showcase to demonstrate capabilities of the community portal.

“Monster Government Solutions is proud to collaborate with U.S. Cyber Challenge on this important resource for the future cyber workforce,” said Steve Cooker, Executive Vice President of Monster Worldwide, Inc. “At Monster, our mission is to connect people and job opportunities, and by applying Monster’s innovative technology, both cybersecurity professionals and employers will be able to connect like never before.”

The DHS R&D Showcase is open to the media. The showcase will commence at 8:00 AM and end at 5:30 PM at the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel in Washington, DC.
