Morgan Stanley Smith Barney announced today that, in partnership with the American Heart Association – Westchester and Fairfield counties, and the Go Red For Women® Movement, it will be hosting a Go Red Women's Leadership Breakfast at the Firm's Westchester campus on Friday, February 4, National Wear Red Day.

The event, which is open to the public, will feature keynote speaker, Carla Harris, Managing Director, Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Head of the Emerging Manager Platform and the author of Expect to Win.

As Head of the Emerging Manager Platform, Carla Harris and her team seek to identify and provide capital, as well as strategic advice and infrastructure solutions, to emerging asset managers, with a specific emphasis on minority and women-owned asset managers. Ms. Harris also acts as Chair of the Board of the Morgan Stanley Foundation. During her twenty-year career on Wall Street, Harris has executed the IPO's for UPS, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, and Redback, as well as the $3.2 billion common stock transaction for Immunex, one of the largest biotechnology offerings in U.S. history.
