A new 'state of the art' bottling plant for Nestlé Vera Naturae mineral water has opened in Castrocielo, Italy.

The factory, built at a cost of over 17 million, is a flagship for Nestlé Waters in environmental sustainability and energy consumption. It offers 'best in class' performance, especially in water consumption and energy savings.

While all energy used in the plant is derived exclusively from renewable sources, the new bottling plant also uses photovoltaic systems, LED lights, and heat recovery and retention systems, thereby ensuring the entire site is carbon neutral throughout.
