New World China Land : Supports the Second “Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Athletics Carnival” to Facilita...

(2 June 2016, Hong Kong) Organised by New World Development Company Limited ('New World Group' or 'the Group', Stock Code: 00017), the Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone and China Merchants Shekou Industrial Zone Holdings Co., Ltd, and supported by New World China Land Limited ('NWCL', Stock Code: 00917) and Chow Tai Fook Global Shopping Centre, the second 'Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Athletics Carnival' successfully concluded in Shenzhen Qianhai-Shekou Free Trade Zone on 28 May 2016. With cycling being the main theme, this year's athletics carnival attracted more than 5,000 participants from Shenzhen and Hong Kong, successfully enhancing the sports and cultural exchanges between the two places.

Mr Lin Hong, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Qianhai Shekou Free Trade Zone and Deputy Secretary of the Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone, Mr He Zijun, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Qianhai Shekou Free Trade Zone and Deputy Secretary of the Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone, Mr Cheng Kar-shing, Non-executive Director of New World Development Company Limited and Executive Director of New World China Land Limited, Mr Chen Guanzhan, Executive Director and Joint General Manager of New World Development Company Limited, Mr Zhu Wenkai, Standing Deputy General Manager of China Merchants Shekou Industrial Zone Holdings Co., Ltd, and Mr Wong Siu-kee, Managing Director of Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited officiated at the opening ceremony and showed their support to the further cultural exchanges between Shenzhen and Hong Kong as well as the future development of Qianhai.

Over 200 corporations from Hong Kong and Mainland China and corporations with offices in Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone joined the athletics carnival. Participants from the 50 Hong Kong corporations exceeded 500. During the event, nearly 2,000 people participated in the corporate cycling activity. The athletics carnival also featured family cycling activities, game booths and performances. The live band show performed by NW Band, which is formed by New World Group and NWCL's colleagues, created an exhilarating atmosphere. And the four mascots from D‧PARK - the world's first multiple intelligence kids mall - were also invited by New World Group to perform in the athletics carnival. Representing body smart, visual smart, self-smart and logic smart, the four mascots are well received by the participants.
