Approximately 10,000 individuals from state and local IT communities voted among 100 top-ranking IT leaders and initiatives to select the top 50 winners for 2015.

The winners were selected in six categories: State Executive of the Year, State Leadership Award, Industry Leadership Award, State Up & Comer, Innovation of the Year, and State IT Program of the Year. In addition, NIC's Chief Operating Officer Robert Knapp was honored with an Industry Leadership Award, recognizing private sector pioneers driving change in government IT with unique solutions. Mr. Knapp was acknowledged for his commitment to making sure NIC's 9,700 eGovernment services are innovative and create value by providing efficiencies and responsive customer support in a secure manner.
