Orell Füssli sells its minority interest in Photoglob Ltd

Zurich, December 19, 2014  -  Orell Füssli Holding Ltd. is selling its 34% minority interest in Photoglob Ltd, Zurich, to Buchzentrum AG, Hägendorf, on January 1, 2015. 

This stake in Photoglob has been held by Orell Füssli as a minority interest and is not part of the group's core business activities. The sale of this holding to Buchzentrum AG will smooth the path for Photoglob's further strategic growth. 

The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. 

Photoglob is Switzerland's largest postcard publisher and in addition to picture postcards, greeting cards, books and calendars also sells travel goods and accessories. The company has 15 employees. Gion Schneller, CEO of Photoglob Ltd, will remain the company's principal shareholder after this transaction.                                                                                                      

Orell Füssli is a diversified industrial and trading group focusing on the core businesses of banknote & security printing, industrial systems used in the individualisation of security documents and branded products, and book retailing. The book publishing business has formed the traditional basis for the company since 1519. Orell Füssli generates sales of some CHF 300 million with about 1 000 employees at locations in 10 countries and is listed on the Swiss Stock Exchange.
