Owens Corning (NYSE: OC) has ranked 25th on Corporate Responsibility Magazine’s 100 Best Corporate Citizens list. This is the third consecutive year Owens Corning has appeared on the list. Its first top-25 ranking represents a jump of 18 places over the prior year, 43 places from two years ago.

The 100 Best Corporate Citizens list recognizes public companies for their outstanding corporate responsibility and sustainability performance. The data is taken from publicly available information in seven categories: environment, climate change, employee relations, human rights, governance, finance, and philanthropy.

The primary drivers of the company’s higher ranking this year were an expansion of its philanthropic efforts, notably in China and India, as well as greater reporting transparency in the areas of the environment and climate change. Owens Corning ranked No. 2 of the 100 companies on the 2017 list in the environment category.

“Expanding our impact through sustainability is a core value of the company,” said Chief Sustainability Officer Frank O'Brien-Bernini. “Owens Corning is especially proud to be recognized for our leadership in the environment, climate change, philanthropy, and human rights. Our top-25 ranking on the CR 100 reflects the great work of our 16,000 people around the world.”
