PANTAFLIX AG: YOU ARE WANTED celebrates first German series' world premiere in Hollywood

Munich, May 3, 2018 - PANTALEON Films, a 100% subsidiary of PANTAFLIX AG, and Amazon set yet another benchmark with the Prime Original series YOU ARE WANTED: the first German-language video streaming series is now also the first German series to celebrate its world premiere in the US. On May 7, Amazon's streaming service Prime Video will raise the curtain on the successful thriller-series' second season at the ArcLight in Hollywood. Fans and international industry professionals will see the new season's first episode, with lead actors Matthias Schweighöfer, Alexandra Maria Lara, Jessica Schwarz, and Michael Landes in attendance. The complete season will be available worldwide on May 18, 2018. "With our first season, we have written German film history and enjoyed phenomenal international success. Now we aim for an even bigger, global target audience. To that effect, a world premiere in Los Angeles is the ideal kick-off," says Dan Maag, Producer of YOU ARE WANTED.

YOU ARE WANTED is a sensational success with audiences in Germany and around the world: it is indeed the most successful series ever on Amazon Prime in Germany and Austria. On its starting weekend, the series also made the top five streamed series in over 70 countries. Among its non-german speaking audiences, the series has an especially strong fan community in the United States: one in five viewers (22%) of the first season are from North America. "Celebrating our series' world premiere in the US is a great honor, and I'm very excited about it," says director and leading actor Matthias Schweighöfer.

About the new episodes: With "Burning Man", the data-collecting monster program, Lukas Franke (Matthias Schweighöfer) seemed finally back in control of his life. But now the nightmare is back on. His memory: deleted. "Burning Man": gone. His family: in danger. Lukas is once more on the run. His only chance: to find the world's most powerful cyberweapon and take fate into his own hands again.
