Championship Program will exclusively use Cascade, Maverik for 2016 Season NEW YORK -- June 8, 2015 -- Maverik Lacrosse, a leading lacrosse equipment manufacturer, and High Point University (HPU) announced today an exclusive equipment partnership for the school's Division I men's lacrosse program. High Point University's lacrosse team won the Southern Conference Championship this year and for the first time in school history reached the Div. I NCAA tournament. "I'd like to thank the entire Cascade and Maverik teams for helping this partnership become a reality," said Jon Torpey, Head Coach of HPU's men's lacrosse. Cascade and Maverik Lacrosse will be the team's official equipment provider beginning with the 2016 season. The school currently wears CASCADE helmets. During the 2015 season the HPU Panther's went 10-6 and notched a double overtime win against No. 20 Richmond in the Southern Conference Championship, earning a spot in the Div. I NCAA tournament play-in game.
