• 124,5 MW for the portfolio of wind farms now commissioned
• Furthermore 18 MW are under construction
• Expansion of wind farm portfolio is running on schedule

Cuxhaven, 26 September 2016 - PNE WIND AG has expanded its portfolio of wind farms in own plant operation that is for sale. The 'Köhlen' wind farm (Lower Saxony) was able to be fully commissioned now earlier than planned. Furthermore the 'Holzthaleben' wind farm (Thuringia) could be commissioned now. They are being added to the portfolio of wind farms in own plant operation, which nor growths by another nine wind turbines with a rated output of 26.4 MW.

The portfolio of wind farms that are already in operation or under construction currently includes wind farms with a rated output of 142.5 MW in total. Thereof 124.5 MW are commissioned and 18 MW are under construction. Another wind farm with roughly 10 MW rated output is also in the approval process.
'Despite the sometimes poor weather conditions, the construction of the 'Köhlen' wind farm was completed several weeks short of the planned schedule. We finished sooner than expected.

The expansion of our portfolio of wind farms is running on schedule. This proves the high quality of the wind farm planning but also the expertise of the team that was responsible for completion', says Markus Lesser, CEO of PNE WIND AG, who knows the project well from his time as COO.

Enercon E101 type wind turbines with a hub height of 149 metres and a rotor diameter of 101 metres were erected at the 'Köhlen' wind farm where PNE WIND AG is one of two partners alongside EWE Erneuerbare Energien GmbH. The total height of the turbines is 199 metres when one of the rotor blades is vertical. The energy generated at the wind farm is enough to cover the average annual power consumption of more than 41,000 households.

Two wind turbines with a rated output of 4.8 MW now produce environmentally-friendly wind power for 4,500 households at the 'Holzthaleben' wind farm.

Markus Lesser: 'With this PNE WIND is once again contributing to climate protection, a reduction in the consumption of finite resources and regional value added thanks to environmentally-friendly wind power.'
