Praxair, Inc. (NYSE:PX) announced the start-up of its fourth air separation plant, a 1,400 ton per day unit, and upgrade of the pipeline system serving the Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (Samsung) Hwasung site in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.

The new plant will supply nitrogen to Samsung, one of the largest electronics companies globally. Praxair also supplies Samsung with nitrogen, oxygen, argon, helium and other gases, from an expanded complex outside of Seoul. Additionally, Praxair supplies liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon to a variety of local customers in such industries as non-ferrous metal, wastewater treatment and ship building.
