Premier Technical Services : PTSG puts PAT skills to the test with GKN Aerospace contract

Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) has secured a contract to provide electrical testing services at an aircraft assembly site in Filton, Bristol.

GKN Aerospace, part of GKN PLC, is a first-tier supplier to the global aviation industry. A leader in the manufacture of highly complex composite and metallic aerostructures and engine products, the business is equally focused on military and civil markets.

Technicians from PTSG's Electrical Services Division will attend GKN Aerospace in Filton to provide portable appliance testing (PAT) services to the site's machinery, ensuring it safe to use during the facility's essential operations.

GKN Aerospace in Filton produces major structural sub-assemblies, precision machined components and advanced systems for all variants of aeronautical company Airbus' aircraft. The site employs over 1,700 of the GKN Aerospace's worldwide total of 12,000 staff and is a global market leader in the design and manufacture of aircraft wing structures for Airbus and other customers, including Dassault and Lockheed Martin.

PTSG's Electrical Services division is a UK market leader and member of The Association of Technical & Access Specialists (ATLAS).
