(NASDAQ: PKT), the global Subscriber Experience company, today announced that Vice President of Business Development Michael Kay will present on "The Possibilities of Mobile Policy Control" at SDN & OpenFlow World Congress in Dusseldorf, Germany on Friday, October 17 at 3:05 p.m. CEST.

During the event, Procera Networks is also participating in the ETSI NFV proof-of-concept #19 on the acceleration of network functions in carrier networks. Procera's Network Application Visibility Library (NAVL) will be embedded in the NFV proof-of-concept solution in collaboration with Avago, Ericsson, Tieto, and ARM, and will be on demonstration for the entirety of the SDN & OpenFlow World Congress. NAVL is an easily integrated embedded intelligence engine that provides real-time, Layer-7 classification of network application traffic and metadata extraction in a reliable, scalable and cost-effective way to deliver industry leading coverage and accuracy.

During his speaking session, Michael Kay will discuss how virtualized policy and charging control (PCC) solutions have become a powerful tool for mobile operators to identify and deliver new service opportunities, and further monetize their subscriber intelligence. Procera's NFV offerings enable deployments that are cost effective and target market niches that would typically fail to deliver a positive return on investment when the cost of dedicated hardware and operational cost of deploying hardware are factored in. The session will explore the new business possibilities introduced with specific virtual PCC use cases.
