Solid sales for first quarter 2016

At the end of its first quarter of 2016, Radiall recorded sales of €79 million, an increase of 2.3% in comparison with the first quarter of 2015, which was the quarter achieving the highest sales in 2015. Compared to the fourth quarter of 2015, business over the first quarter represented a growth of 8.0%. At constant exchange rates and scope, sales for the quarter have decreased by 1.0% due mainly to the consolidation of Van-System Business in Q1 2016.

This quarterly turnover was driven by the favourable outcome of civil aeronautics and industrial segments which benefited from Van-System sales contribution; whereas defence and space, and the telecom segment have slightly decreased.

Over the quarter, growth is observed in Europe and America zones, meanwhile China contracted because of the unfavorable comparison to the high sales achievement in Q1 2015.

Over the first quarter, international sales totalled 87.8% of the overall business.

Outlook

The Group anticipates, despite significant pressure on prices, moderate growth in its sales in 2016 at constant exchange rates. This growth is based on the continuation of a civil aeronautics business which should remain strong, and slight growth in sales in other sectors.

The Group nevertheless remains cautious, given the highly uncertain economic environment and the structural volatility of some of its markets, such as telecom, in particular in China.
