Regal Beloit : LEESON Electric Announces Higher Horsepower SST Motors

New all-stainless steel sanitary motor models available now and this spring

GRAFTON, WISCONSIN, January 31, 2017- LEESON Electric, a business unit of Regal Beloit America, Inc., announced higher horsepower (HHP) Stainless Steel (SST) Motors with 300 Series SST exterior components are available now in 180T-210T frames and will be available spring 2017 in 250T-280T frames. The HHP SST motors expand LEESON Electric's premium SST line of sanitary motors ranging from 3 to 10 horsepower. Attendees at the IPPE show in Atlanta can preview these premium efficiency all-stainless steel motors by visiting booth B5544.

LEESON Electric's SST motors, including the new HHP 180T-210T and 250T-280T frames, are manufactured with 300 Series Stainless Steel exterior components in the base, endshields, shaft extension, fan guard, and all hardware. The 180T-210T HHP SST motors are available as stock in 3 through 10 HP, include a three-year warranty, and feature repositioned drain plugs for all angle mounting configurations.

The all-stainless HHP motors deliver the following outstanding features and benefits:

• Laser-etched, full-fact steel nameplate on the motor frame
• Anti-corrosion coating applied to the rotor and heavy polyester varnish on the stator
• Double-sealed bearings with moisture-resistant, high-temperature lubricant
• Moisture-resistant sealant between the frame and endshields
• Four condensate drains in each endshield (at three, six, nine and twelve o'clock) to purge condensation and water that may enter the motor
• Premium efficiency in continuous use environments

LEESON Electric offers more than 200 off-the-shelf solutions for everyday washdown motor needs including washdown-rated gear reducers, and AC and DC controls. Additional applications for these motors in poultry processing facilities include de-feathering, scalding, feeding, slicing, cutting, processing, de-boning and inspection.
