REN Redes Energeticas Nacionais : Energia App with two prizes at the Communicator Awards

The REN Energia app received two prizes at the Communicator Awards, considered one of the main global honours in the field of communication and marketing. REN's application was awarded Distinction in the category of Mobile General Business (in which the winner was Lufthansa Cargo Planet's app) and in the category of Best User Interface (in which the winner was the Snapshot of the 2017 Annual Report of CLP Holding Limited).
The REN Energia app was honoured by a jury of the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts (AIVA), a group of renowned professionals from important international media, communications, advertising, creative and marketing companies from 50 states and 15 countries around the world.
Launched in 2017, the REN Energia app is broken down into five sections: My News, Events, Statistics, Opportunities and an area about the company. Each section is customizable according to the topics each user finds most interesting, with the ability to create alerts and share content.
In My News, content is published about energy, environment, innovation, sustainability and education topics. Users may also submit original content to REN for publishing in the application, making it a tool with user participation and which generates interaction between users.
All relevant information about production and consumption of energy is available in the Statistics section, along with the corresponding breakdown by type of source and the balance of exports and imports between Portugal and Spain. Easy-to-read and easy-to-understand charts with constantly updated information, providing daily and monthly data, can be easily accessed and shared.
In the Events and Opportunities areas, users can closely monitor the most important dates for the company and for the sector, creating alerts and keeping track of existing employment opportunities at REN.
With this application, open to everyone's participation, Portugal's energy and everything that integrates REN's world is easily within the users' reach.

REN - Redes Energéticas Nacionais, SGPS, S.A. specializes in the operation and concession management of the Portuguese electricity transportation network. Net sales break down by activity sector as follows:
- electricity (63.7%): transportation of electricity from producers to end distributors and consumers, management of the electricity transportation network (connecting user installations to the network, maintenance of the network, etc.). At the end of 2022, the network has a total of 9,424 Km;
- gas (34.8%): transportation of natural gas from producers to end distributors and industrial consumers, underground storage of natural gas, receiving, storage, and regasification of liquid natural gas (LNG), infrastructure construction and maintenance services, etc.;
- telecommunications (1.3%);
- other (0.2%).
