From July 24-26, 2013, REC executives and local representatives will be present in West 1 hall at booth P01-068 discussing the company's award-winning products and processes, expectations for the Japanese market in 2013 and beyond, as well as hot topics such as the power market reform. Visitors will gain a detailed understanding of REC's products, solutions, and services. Manufactured in Singapore, REC Peak Energy Series solar panels will be on display, as well as the strong capabilities and reference cases of REC as a full-service large-scale system integrator.

"The Japanese market has become one of the most important markets for REC and we look forward to exhibiting at this year's PV Japan," states Go Sekiguchi, Representative Director Japan, REC. "We are well positioned in Japan with a local office in Tokyo and already deliver a significant portion of our entire solar panel production output to Japan. The large-scale market segment - installations from around 1 to 2 MW - shows strong growth potential and a 0.5MW installation with our high performing REC Peak Energy Series solar panels was recently connected to the grid in Nagatoro, Saitama."

As a manufacturer of high-quality solar panels, REC precisely meets the requested quality requirements of its customers. "We steadily strive to ensure our manufacturing processes are of the highest standards possible while testing performance in real-world applications and securing reliability and durability through stringent quality controls that exceed international standards," adds Go Sekiguchi.

REC's superior manufacturing processes and quality assurance mechanisms at the company's state-of-the-art production facility in Singapore has been confirmed in third party factory audits by two high-profile engineering firms, Mott MacDonald and Black & Veatch. Valencia Puccini, Renewable Energy Advisor at Mott MacDonald commented: "REC's internal processes and quality requirements provide extra comfort on the long term behavior of REC solar panels."

In Japan, the power market is in a pivotal situation with the government having proposed to restructure the electricity system to make it more flexible. "We support the plan to build stable electricity supply, allowing the integration of volatile renewable energy to the national grid system," comments Go Sekiguchi. "We excitedly await concrete suggestions from the government. Increased competition and electricity trading between the ten vertically integrated utility companies could lower retail electricity prices and thus, lower consumers' monthly electricity bills."
