ANNAPOLIS, Md. (August 25, 2015) - Rockwell Collins' ARINC Advanced Information Management (AIM®) platform has been selected by the Sacramento Municipal Utility District to provide physical security for the Rancho Seco nuclear facility's Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) site.

Rockwell Collins' ARINC AIM software will serve as the facility's primary command and control platform, providing a full range of intrusion detection, video surveillance, site situational awareness, and other security functions mandated by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The ARINC AIM platform is a proven physical security solution and one of the only that meets the Code of Federal Regulations mandated by the NRC.

"ISFSI facility security is changing due to emerging NRC mandates that include new stringent system availability, operational and cyber security requirements," said Frank Koren, business development manager, ARINC Security Systems for Rockwell Collins. "The ARINC AIM platform's flexibility enables Rancho Seco to meet these new requirements by establishing a migration path that ensures it complies with both current and future NRC security mandates."

The ARINC AIM security platform is used for security command and control applications for a majority of U.S. NRC facilities.

Rockwell Collins is an ISO 9001:2011 and CMMI-3 certified company supplying NRC compliant systems.
