CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Sept. 7, 2017) - Rockwell Collins is closely monitoring Hurricane Irma as it approaches the southeast U.S. The company employs approximately 1,900 people in Florida with facilities in Melbourne, Orlando, Tampa and the Miami area.

Based on Irma's forecasted path, Rockwell Collins is taking necessary precautions to ensure the safety of its employees and protection of these facilities. The company's Melbourne, Medley and Wellington locations will be closed beginning this afternoon. Rockwell Collins' Miami and Orlando locations will be closed starting tomorrow.
