Analyst Update: Lab Opening, Acquisitions, Awards Program, and Earnings Schedule

The Wall Street witnessed fourth consecutive session of gains on Thursday as the European Central Bank (ECB) announced its much-anticipated bond-buying program aimed at reviving the Euro zone economy. The ECB announced that it will buy EUR60 million worth of bonds every month in a program which will last through September 2016. Cheering the ECB's move, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite indices closed the day up 1.53% and 1.78%, respectively, and also turned positive for the year. The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended the session higher by 1.48%. Shares in Europe also continued the rally on Thursday, posting the biggest six-day gain in over three years. The Stoxx Europe 600 index jumped 1.7% to close at its highest level in over seven years. In Asia, markets mostly ended flat as investors awaited the outcome of the ECB meeting.

PerkinElmer, Inc. (PerkinElmer) announced the opening of a new medical laboratory - Suzhou PerkinElmer Medical Laboratory Co., Ltd, in China, which provides a comprehensive offering of lab services to hospitals and patients in the country, supporting the prevention of birth defects in newborns and infectious disease in adults.

Polaris Industries Inc. (Polaris) announced that it has acquired the electric motorcycle business of Brammo Inc (Brammo). Leveraging Polaris' leading position in the global power sports industry, the companies will market a variety of electric vehicles utilizing Brammo's award winning lithium-ion electric drivetrain technology.

Proto Labs, Inc. (Proto Labs) has kicked-off its annual "Cool Idea! Award" program, announcing this year's panel of judges that includes some of the design and manufacturing industry's most respected leaders. In its fifth year now, the award recognizes the innovative designers with the funding and services to create parts and prototypes.

PulteGroup, Inc. (PulteGroup), one of America's largest homebuilding companies, will release its fourth quarter 2014 financial results on January 29, 2015, before the market opens. The Company will hold a conference call to discuss the results that same day at 8:30 a.m. (ET).

U.S.-based diversified technology company Roper Industries, Inc. (Roper) announced that its Senior Subordinated Convertible Notes due 2034 (the "Notes") will accrue contingent interest for the semi-annual period beginning January 16, 2015. In its announcement dated January 15, 2015, Roper said that contingent cash interest of approx. $2.38 per Note is expected to be paid on July 15, 2015 to holders of the Note as of June 30, 2015, the record date.
