100+destinations via Rome and Barcelona

Amman, Dec. 21, 2015 - Royal Jordanian and Spanish low cost carrier Vueling Airlines signed an interline agreement whereby RJ passengers can connect to Vueling's 150 cities via the latter's hub in Barcelona and to 65 destinations from Rome's Fiumicino Airport, Vueling's second hub.

The deal will enable Royal Jordanian to offer its passengers further connections soon. RJ customers will thus find more travel options to hundreds of cities via these European hubs.

Under the new agreement, RJ passengers can book their flights -including the RJ and Vueling segments - on a single ticket, and check in their luggage through to the final destination.

Vueling's destinations can be reached by passengers arriving on Royal Jordanian's three weekly flights from Amman to Barcelona or its five weekly flights from Amman to Rome, and then on to Vueling's destinations.

Vueling signed similar agreements with Cathay Pacific and Hainan Airline, and has previous accords with American Airlines, British Airways and Qatar Airways.

The new services can be booked starting with January 2016 through RJ's call centre, at +962 65100000, its sales offices in Jordan and abroad, on RJ's website, www.rj.com , or from travel agents around the world.

In addition to RJ's 55 direct destinations spread over four continents, there are hundreds of points served by international carriers that have code share agreements with RJ, which gives passengers more travel and connectivity options. Also, through RJ's partners in the oneworld airline alliance, more than 1,000 cities are accessible from/to Amman, Jordan.

Vueling, a member of the International Airlines Group (IAG) since 2013, launched its operations in 2004 with a fleet of just two Airbus A320s, four routes, and a commitment to offer excellent customer services at budget prices. Ten years later, it had carried 96 million passengers and in 2016 it will operate on more than 400 routes to more than 160 destinations in Europe, Middle East and Africa, with a fleet of more than 100 aircraft based at 22 airports.
