Sacyr : Colombia’s National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) signs the concession contract of the Cúcuta – Pamplona Highway

• Sacyr Concesiones will invest 2 billion Colombian pesos (around €640 million) in renovating the 67-kilometer road and completing the dual carriageway corridor

The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) of Colombia has signed the concession agreement for the Cúcuta-Pamplona Fourth Generation Highway with Sacyr Concesiones.

The highway is located in the department of Norte de Santander, located in the northeast of the country. The project, which will have an investment of 2 billion Colombian pesos (approximately €640 million), consists of the construction of 47-kilometers second carriageway, a four-kilometers single carriageway, as well as the renovation of the existing 67 kilometers of the highway.

Last Saturday, during a ceremony presided by Juan Manuel Santos, the President of Colombia, he said that this road will allow 'to connect the country with good roads, from Ecuador to Venezuela.'

The Cúcuta-Pamplona award reinforces Sacyr as Colombia's first construction and concessionaire company. The company has three other Fourth Generation highway projects in the country, with a total investment of around €1.7 billion. The Fourth Generation is one of the most main infrastructure construction and modernization programs in Latin America and accounts for a total investment of €25 billion.
