International real estate advisor Savills celebrated 25 years in Spain on Wednesday night with a reception held at the beautiful setting of Madrid's Museo Lazaro Galdiano. Head of country Rafael Merry del Val was joined by CEO of Savills Plc Jeremy Helsby and CEO of Savills UK and Europe, Mark Ridley, in hosting over 200 guests for cocktails and canapés.

Rafael Merry del Val thanked his team for their drive and enthusiasm, a key factor in remaining resilient through some of the difficult years of the crisis. He gave credit to Borja Sierra, who inaugurated Savills Spain in 1990 and in 2014 relocated to the US as head of Capital Markets.
'This really is a great moment for Savills and we are full of enthusiasm for the future,' said Rafael Merry del Val. 'We are continuing to stragecially reinforce our teams in order to offer the quality of service expected by clients in this growing market place. With the right people in place we can continue to expand in order to position Savills as the firm of choice in Spain.'

Jeremy Helsby gave an overview of the company's global successes, highlighting the increasing relevance of Asian investors in Europe. He was followed by a session from motivational speaker Victor Kuppers, a regular on the TED TALKS scene, who gave an energetic presentation on having a happy and enthusiastic approach to both life and work.
