Highly regarded Victorian designer and builder, BFD Constructions, will construct a purpose-built industrial facility for national wholesale building materials supplier, Woodhouse Timber Company Pty Ltd, at Dandenong South in Melbourne's south-east.

Woodhouse agreed terms on a pre-lease of the industrial facility in a deal negotiated by Savills Australia Senior Industrial Executive, Chris Telley.

BFD will construct the new facility, comprising a 2,814 square metre office/warehouse including 264 square metres of office space and a 2,550 square metre warehouse, at eco industrial business park, Dandenong Logis, on a 5,940 square metre site at Lot 115 and 116 Logis Boulevard.

Mr Telley said Woodhouse, which is a supplier to Bunnings Warehouse, had agreed terms on a five year lease at around $253,260 per annum net.

He said the Queensland based Woodhouse had grown substantially since opening in Melbourne three years ago and required a new, purpose-built facility that would provide the necessary additional room as well as space for further anticipated expansion.

'Woodhouse also required a new space which was perfectly suited to its operations as well as its corporate image, that was attractive to staff and was located within close proximity of major arterials.

'The Logis Boulevard address, being just down the street from the company's current home, was the perfect solution providing the absolute minimum disruption to clients and staff during the construction and relocation phases,' Mr Telley said.
